30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 25.

I am so sick of starting blog posts out apologizing, so on this one I will not! I’ll simply say that school is coming to an end and with that all of our sweet teachers LOVE to give us last minute work to do to complete the semester, so with having paper/presentation/ test/online work due every day/ night finding time to blog has been very hard! I just keep telling myself it’s almost over, so with all of that being said here’s my blog challenge for today, only about a week late!! : )

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 25: Favorite Childhood Memory.

I have a lot of great memories from my childhood. Some of my favorite memories are being at my grandparent’s house! These are such special memories because my Granddaddy is no longer with us, and my Mammaw lives in a nursing home that specializes in Alzheimer’s. I can always remember that faint smell of their house and every time I smell it now, it always takes me back!

Mammaw was always known for being in the kitchen all the time. She cooked lunch and supper almost every day until she started having trouble remembering things. You could always find Granddaddy in one of three places, his blue recliner, his workshop, or the patio. When we always visited, he would take us to the park or his church’s playground. We always had so much fun.  

Of course these aren’t my only memories, my mom’s 3 sister’s and their children along with my mom and her children always go the beach the last week in July. We always have SO much fun! It’s become more enjoyable the last few years because some of the cousins live far away, and we don’t always get to see them at family gatherings!

My childhood has some of my favorite, most cherished memories! Some days, I find myself wishing I could go back! It’s funny I said typed that because when I was younger, I could not wait to be older and do things on my own! HA!

I hope y’all are having a great week!! Mine will continue to be busy! Summer is almost here, but where is that pretty weather we were seeing? I don’t like all of this rain and cold! I want to be able to wear flip flops!

Did any of you watch Army Wives and/or COMING HOME???? OMGOODNESS! Y’ALL, I cried like a baby! I have always loved the military, but after Sunday night my love for them skyrocketed! They do such selfless acts for an ultimate price!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO thankful!!

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 24.

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 24: Favorite Clothing Store.

I know I have mentioned several times before that I LOVE Old Navy!! I find some many cute things in there, and normally they are on sale because I hardly ever pay the original price for anything. Bargain shopping is my thing! 

My recent purchase from Old Navy was this super cute ruffley top in peach. 

I shop at Gap a lot too, but they are both owned by the same company. I got a one shouldered black dress at their outlet while I was at the beach. (I couldn't find a picture. It wasn't on the website either.)

I also racked up on some designer name dresses at a boutique in Seaside that were regularly $300 a piece….. I got them for $10 a piece. Talk about a deal!! Here they are.

* I also got one more. It was solid brown 3/4 length. Very flowy. It was super cute, but i couldn't find a picture of it. *

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 23.

30 Day Blog Challenge.  Day 23: Your idea of a perfect first date.

Yes, I took a week off. Totally not a good thing when you are doing a blog challenge, I know, but oh well!! I’m back!!

My idea of a perfect first date would start out with flowers. Hello, what girl doesn’t like flowers? I know they die, but it’s the thought behind them that makes them special! My favorites are Gerbera Daisies which I’m sure I have mentioned several times.

I’m also a very indecisive person, so when it comes to choosing what/where we will be going, I’ll leave that all up to whoever I am with because I am no good at making decisions like that. I would hope he would take me to a nice restaurant. Maybe a favorite of his or something, see here’s my indecisiveness. HA!

After dinner, I think a movie or dessert would be fun, but honestly I wouldn’t care. I would want my date to plan out every detail with me in mind. I don’t even want to be given a choice because he is the one that asked me on a date. I shouldn’t have to be choosing what and where we are going/doing!

M.I.A.

It's been forever since I have been in blog world. I will continue with my 30 day challenge on Tuesday. I've been M.I.A. because I've been be lazy. Sleeping really late, grabbing a quick lunch, and laying on the beach ALL day. Like until the sun goes down. Yes, that's right. I have been in Florida all week for Spring Break. It is so nice to get away from the "real" world and have some down time. My mom, sister, brother, myself, and Julianna all went down on Sunday. We met my cousin, Sarah, later that night. My aunt drove in on Tuesday.

 The weather was absolutely beautiful!! It was in the low to mid 70's everyday. I wish I was one of those photo oriented people and took a picture every night we went out, but I didn't. I gave that job to Julianna! Check her blog in the next couple of days for lots of pictures!! I do have a few that i have stolen from her!

When we are on vacation, we don't have a schedule, so I could sit on the beach until the sun went down and then go get ready for supper. It was soooo nice!!

I stalked this life guard with Julianna's camera on the last day. He was just sooo cute. There was another one, but i didn't get a good picture of him. He was super cute too, and he was in the Army. Another plus! Too bad, i'm just a tourist. Maybe he'll be there in the Summer when we go back!

 I ended my SB 2011 by eating dinner on Saturday night with one of my favorite families, Ben, Ashia, and Austin. It was so sweet of them to ask me over. I got to play with Baby A for a while. She is growing like a weed and making me feel soooo old!! She is such a big girl now.

It was definitely not fun to have to set my alarm clock for the first time in a week last night. Oh well, only 6 more weeks of school, and then Summer... Oh wait, I'll be in Summer school..

Hope your Spring Break was GREAT!! I missed being in the blog world, but no internet for the week was great!! :) Hope Monday was great! Tuesday will be even better!!

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 22.

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 22: Favorite Recipe.  

One of my all time favorite recipes is 4 Ingredient Chocolate Chip Cookies. This is the EASIEST recipe ever!!

You will need:

·         1 box of yellow cake mix

·         2 eggs

·         ½ cup of oil

·         1 6oz. bag of chocolate chips

Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients. I have found that it is easier to mix everything except for the chocolate chips together and then add them at the last minute. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Unless you are Julianna, and only leave them in the oven for like 5 minutes. They are great like that, but you will need a fork to eat them with!  They are super easy and are great for outings. They make around 24 cookies depending on the size that you make the dough ball.

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 21: A child that I love. 

For many of you this is a given, but one child that I love like she’s my own (Can I even say that? I mean I know I don’t have kids, but people have asked me before if she is mine. I kindly say I’m just the babysitter. :)) is Miss Austin Rivers Good! I am her babysitter. 

She is PRECIOUS!! I love this baby! I am so blessed that Ben and Ashia trust me enough to leave their little one with me! She is so fun to be around. She is definitely a ball of energy! She makes me tired sometimes! HA! Maybe I’m just old or out of shape?? 

I took her on her 1st carousel ride. Needless to say, she did NOT like it. 

 Hope you all have had a great week so far!! It’s almost Spring Break!! Destin, FL is calling my name!!!

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 20: A place that you love.

I LOVE the beach. I love going. We go every year at the end of the summer with my mom’s sisters, and it is something that I look forward to all year long! I love being with family, laying on the beach and reading a good book, and getting all dressed up to go out to eat!  

Sorry I’ve been MIA. My internet isn’t the best when I am at home, so it sometimes takes a while to get a post to go through! Hope your weekend was great! I started off my Monday by over sleeping. Stupid alarm clock! Have a happy Monday!

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 19.

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 19: Pet Peeves.

I have a WHOLE lot of these, so I’ll spare you the boredom and only list a few.

I get totally annoyed when people pop their gum in public places. It is the most obnoxious, rude thing I have ever seen. This normally happens while in church or in class. It is SO disrespectful. Others are trying to pay attention and there is someone who is popping their gum like there ain’t no tomorrow! Makes me so mad!

Another one, smacking your food. Just chew with your mouth closed and this won’t be a problem.

When someone answers a text message with “K”. How much longer would it take you to spell ok?? I mean it’s only one more letter.

A driving pet peeve would be when someone passes me only to turn right after they pass me. I mean honestly, how much quicker did that make it? About NO seconds quicker. Just be patient.

I wanted to include one of Anna and Steven too, but I posted one not too long ago, so I decided I would use this one. I also used this one on our senior video at graduation!!

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 17.

30 Day Blog Challenge. Day 17: Celebrity Crush.

Well, like most of the other things I’ve had to narrow down to one, this is one of the things that I can’t. I don’t have just one celebrity crush! I have 3!

My longest standing celebrity crush is Josh Lucas. He plays Jake Perry on Sweet Home Alabama, which is my FAVORITE movie ever!!! He is sooo cute. I never understood why Reese left him for McDreamy anyway! HA!! 

Here’s a look at him in Sweet Home Alabama. Oh man, ya’ll he is soooo fine!!

Next, it would be Sean Faris. He plays on the Sleepover and Never Back Down. He is hot! One look at him, and I promise I am drooling!

Last, it is Taylor Kitsch. He is a new one. He plays Tim Riggins on Friday Night Lights, which was one of my favorite TV shows before it went off the air. 

And just for laughs, I think that the Bachelor, Brad Womack is pretty good lookin’ too!
