Changes and the beach

There are about to be some changes in my day to day routine because I have a new job, and I am very excited about it! I am now going to working at Citizen’s National Bank as a part time teller. I’ll work through school! I can’t wait to start.
Ok, so that was the change because instead of sleeping late and doing whatever I want to, I now have a job to get up and go to! Hello routine! I can’t wait to have one again!!

Last weekend, I was at the beach!! Yeah, don’t go getting all jealous because it rained the WHOLE time we were there! Ok, almost. It was sunny and breezy Monday! I went to the beach with my neighbor and her girls! Julianna is their normal babysitter, but she had just gotten back from the beach and was trying to finish school, so I went with them! I went along to help because traveling with a seven year old and a three month old is kinda hard! HA! Anyway, we had a great time! Tracy’s cousin was getting married on Monday, so we went a few days early to spend on the beach, but that didn’t really happen. We ended up going shopping on Saturday, and we visited with her family on Sunday!
The only pretty day-Monday!

Monday was the wedding day. We did spend the morning on the beach though, and it was so fun! I am so used to just going to lay out and read my book that I forget what it’s like to be a child going to the beach! The waves are so much fun to them. We jumped lots of waves and boogie boarded a lot too! I had fun reliving my child hood! We spent the rest of the day at the pool because they had to get the beach ready for the wedding.
Wedding Time

Ya’ll know I’m a sucker for a good wedding, but being at the beach makes it even better. I want to get married at the beach! I always have. Anyway, the ceremony was so sweet, and everything was so nice!
Sarah Grace was NOT happy with us.
Sweet Girls and their Mama

Tuesday, we had to pack up and go home! AND to top it all off, it was BEAUTIFUL outside! That makes it SO much harder to leave. We left about 9 which was only an hour after our intended time, and we got home around 3. We only stopped twice! With little ones that is a miracle! Here are some pictures from the weekend!
Horrible of me. Loaded down and Mississippi Bound!
 P.S.
I think this little monkey is going to be rolling over VERY soon!
Before bath time.

Friday.

Friday.
Thank the Lord it finally came! It was a long day though that started about 5:45 this morning! Those of you who do that on a regular basis, God bless you! I am no morning person, so it just doesn’t suit me well!

I got up so early because we were going to Columbus with my Deddy. Well, we finally made it there after a blowout and sitting on the side of the road for a good hour. When I say blowout, I mean the kid where it tears up your fender and all! Thank goodness Dad was driving. I would have freaked! Anyway, these very nice men from Laurel, Mississippi helped us out a ton! It was a sure blessing that they came along and helped us!! After we got that under control, we did what we came to do and went home.

I had lunch with my little princess, her mom and her gammy! I love those girls! Too bad I wasn’t the one taking the pictures! I do have one of me and my sweet girl, but I stole it from Ashia! : ) I hadn’t seen them in a few weeks, so it was very nice to get to catch up! I love our visits!

The rest of the day was spent doing pretty much nothing! Mom grilled out, and we all had supper together!

That was pretty much my Friday! I hope that I do absolutely nothing tomorrow!!!

Ok, so shoot me now, but I feel the need to get on my soap box about Casey Anthony.

Her name makes me feel sick, but I just feel like our judicial system in doing nothing. NOTHING! They are letting a murderer walk free. I mean hello?? Isn’t there something wrong with that sentence I just typed? A MURDERER! UGH! Makes me sick to think about that poor innocent child she “just” wanted to put to sleep while she partied. Either way whether it was an accident or not, she did it, and then didn’t report that she was missing for 30 DAYS! I mean I am not a mother, but I start wondering where my brother and sister are about 5 hours after I last saw them, and they are my brother and sister not my child! It also makes my heart hurt for all of those parents who long to have kids and have to listen to this trash about this woman killing her child because she pretty much didn’t want the responsibility!

There, you have my thoughts on that now. I know that I shouldn’t judge her because in the end that isn’t my job at all, but it’s so hard knowing that her innocent child didn’t deserve that!
Anyway, I’ll step off my soap box for now!

Hope ya’ll have a great weekend!! AND thank you for the comments! Ya’ll make me feel better knowing at least a few people like to read my rambling!

June Favorites

June Favorites!

Kroger Rewards points. Did you know that you can save 3 cents on a tank of gas if you have a rewards card?? Well, yes! You can. Too bad we don’t have these in Macon!

Vending machines with credit card slides. No, normally I would use change for a vending machine, but when you don’t have any cash, it’s so convenient to just slide the plastic! They had these at school. i had never seen them before! I guess I'm just sheltered!

OEC Japanese. Of course, we don’t have one of these in Macon either, but ya’ll this place is AMAZING! They have like 4 or 5 in the metro Jackson area, and I believe that we should be investing in one in Macon! It’s like fast food hibachi! Ok, so it doesn’t taste like that. It’s fresh!! AGH! I’m making myself hungry!

And of course another food one…. BBQ Grilled Chicken Wraps from McDonalds! I mean hello we just got one I’ve gotta love something from there, right?!!!??

AND just because the 4th of July was Monday, here is one more thing that I could not wait to wear! I got it at the beginning of June knowing that I had to wait an entire month to wear it!! I love things that are patriotic!!

P.S.
Guess what I pre-ordered tonight?! ………..
If you guessed Blake Shelton’s new CD Red River Blues, you are the winner!!

My birthday is also the last day of the month, and I’m trying very very hard to get tickets to the Miranda Lambert concert in Jackson on the 21st!!

P.S.S.
I forgot that I purchased both of these magazines this week because you know who was on the cover!!!
 and
Hope ya'll are having a great week!! 2 posts in one day?! I'm doing good!

Lately..

Yes, I’ve been gone for a while.

Here’s an update!

I’m done with school for the summer which means I’ve moved back home. Yes, it was a depressing day filled with LOTS of tears!! I had a nice teacher. HA! We just did not get along, and she didn’t know how to teach. Needless to say, I ended up auditing the class, so I’ll just take it in the fall. Yes, as I said there were lots of tears shed because 1) I’ve never failed to the point of not passing, and 2) I did NOT want to leave Jackson! It was a sad day.

Anyway, now that I am home you ask what I’ve been up to?
Well, the first full week I was back I filled in for Julianna babysitting! That was fun, but I am not used to taking care of a 2 month old and entertaining a 7 year old!!
This week, I am just really doing nothing! It is a short week too!

We spent the 4th weekend in Jackson with my family! We ate entirely too much and played a very loooooonnggg game of Monopoly! Of course just because I told my mom I’d beat her, I was the first one to go bankrupt. Oh well, Clue is more my style! Mrs. Scarlett in the conservatory with the revolver.

We came home last night! I had planned on staying and shadowing a few hygienist in my uncle’s office before coming home, but holiday weeks are always very crazy! I’m going back in a couple of weeks to spend it looking in people’s mouths! HA!

So, there’s my update for the past few weeks! I hope you all had an amazing Fourth Weekend, but that you also spent it with a very thankful heart! Thanking our God and our Troops for doing such selfless acts and allowing us to live in a free world!!

Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. –John 15:13
